Kung fu is a term used in the West to draw Chinese martial arts. The word kung fu is made up of "gong" means "work" and expressed "man" "fu", the combination of two words equivalent to "continuous work or effort."
There are several legends about the origin of kung fu but the best known is that of an Indian monk called Bodhidharma arrived at Shaolin Temple, located in the mountains of Lohan. Bodhidharma developed an exercise system based on 12 animals that later was extended to 18 in combination with the laws of the universe, of nature and of different Taoist and Buddhist systems resulted in what we know today as "Shaolin Kung Fu" or " Boxing monk. "
Kung Fu is much more than a sport that allows the individual to develop certain skills. Is an art that requires work, perseverance and dedication to understand and master it fully.
