Ninja meditation techniques have their origin in Tibet, in the lamasios where Zen thought is born. They pass through China where they acquire high refinement in Buddhist temples, mainly in Shaolin, and arrive in Japan.
The Yamabushis, the undisputed origin of the Ninjas, were a rare combination of warrior monks just like those in the aforementioned Chinese temple. All were profoundly aware of the power of Ki or Chi, internal energy, which circulates through the body and can be used and harnessed in different ways.
The acomputure works on the points that dominate the channels through which the internal energy circulates and, stimulating it through the needles, achieves that said energy benefits or harms, as the case may be. The same happens with digitopuncture (acuputura with pressure of the fingers), with the self-massage, with slow gymnastic movements, coordinated with abdominal breathing and, of course, with meditation.
Meditation is an internal exercise from a fixed posture, a determined breath, a "mantra" (words that vibrate in the body and, when pronounced, stimulate the energy centers) and a "mudra", position or interweaving of hands called Kuji In, with which nine cuts are made in the air or on the palm of the hand before going into a trance; these are the Kuji Kiri (Kiri = cut, Ku = 9).
The maturation techniques and the use of the Kuji Kiri are reserved for teachers, their use being forbidden for students, since by not fully understanding them they can fall into misuse, resulting in illnesses and psychological problems.
On the contrary, with the guidance of the conscious teacher, this practice provides superior knowledge (illumination) and enables the mastery of the essence of man, as well as the unveiling of the world's deepest secrets, Ninja.
After this brief introduction we will see what the 9 Kuji Kiri are used for, not to mention the corresponding Mantra.
