Ninjitsu..the invisible warrior
Ninjutsu (忍術?), Also known as shinobi-jutsu, and as Ninpō (忍 法?) Is the Japanese martial art of espionage and guerrilla.
This martial art is based on technical and tactical groups (considered classically 20, mentioned below) who allegedly used the ninja for centuries. The first information we have of the use of ninjas in the field dates back to the V century, which gives us an idea of the antiquity of this fighting style, complemented with learning many useful skills for espionage, as characterization or falsification of documents, as well as certain esoteric practices derived from Mykkyo, Japanese esoteric spiritual system.
With the arrival of Oda Nobunaga, the ninja were pursued in an attempt to stop the growing influence and power. Although this caused some ninja clans throughout Japan were extended by having to flee from Iga. As early as the seventeenth century were last used massively in Kyushu Christian revolt in 1637. In the mid to late Edo period begins the decline in the use of the shinobi, given the long period of peace established by family Tokugawa. Between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries it is legally prohibited the use of ninja mercenaries, which made be used clandestinely and small scale.
In the twentieth century Japan used ninjutsu as form of training elite troops. [Citation needed] regular troops were equipped with special training, without being able to reach true ninjas considered however. The last real record on the use of the ninja by the Japanese government dating back to World War II (1939-1945).
The internationalization of the Ninjutsu comes by Master Masaaki Hatsumi, heir of nine ancient martial traditions of Japan (Ryu), including three of origin ninja, and six samurai origin.
Today ninjutsu limited to the use of punches, joint locks, throws, takedowns and use of traditional weapons; Looking form the individual, similar to all the traditional martial arts and modern Gendai budo current (such as Judo, Aikido, karate-do, kendo, etc.) While performing at the highest levels of this discipline Esoteric very exclusive seminars in Japan about its psychological aspect, use of poisons and explosives.
In fact, it can not be considered the ancient ninjutsu as a more traditional martial art; in the classical sense, as the disciplines that ninja had to know they went far beyond fighting techniques and combat with and without weapons. As already stated, the practice of Ninpo Mikkyo or esoteric practices, and Kuji Kiri (cutting nine syllables, mystical positions with fingers to channel energy), which legendarily provided the ninja awesome powers, they were forced study for ninja clans, who preferred tactics of terror and espionage, much more subtle than the classical bujutsu samurai or martial art.
However, it is a common historical error considering conceptually separate fighting techniques ninja and samurai warrior, since those are a evolution or adaptation of these (according to some authors). Perhaps because of the cinematic spectacle and documentary erroneous, we tend to regard as the enemy ninja samurai, when the reality aims at a possible symbiosis that would put them in closer communion. Remarquemos many leaders ninja were simultaneously reputation samurai, who hid their clandestine condition as indicated by tradition; and even many ninja served as spies, murderers, and informants to different feudal clans.
